Isaac Goodnow's Diaries
Isaac T. Goodnow came to Kansas in 1855 and helped to found the town that became Manhattan and the college that became Kansas State University.  His home on Claflin Road is a state historic site. 

Goodnow kept a diary throughout his life.  The original diaries are in the collection of the Kansas Historical Society in Topeka, whose website is www.kshs.org
