The Riley County Zoning Regulations provide for 5 distinct Single Family Residential zones. Zones A-1 thru A-3 require a minimum lot size of at least 1/2 acre or larger depending on the requirements of the Riley County Sanitary Code. None of these zones permit the keeping of livestock. They vary in several respects, but particularly regarding the allowance of mobile and modular homes.
The remaining 2 zones, Zones A-4 and A-5, require a minimum of 2 acres and allow for the keeping of livestock. They also differ regarding the allowance of mobile and modular homes.
