Why It's Important
The 2010 Census helps determine how more than $400 billion in federal funds are distributed back to communities each year.  It also determines the number of congressional seats per state and how many representatives we have in Congress who can advocate on our behalf for things like:

  • Bridges, tunnels, highways, and other public works projects
  • Emergency Services
  • Health Programs
  • Hospitals
  • Job Training Centers
  • Schools
  • Senior Centers

Participation isn't just important—it's required by law!
