IT/GIS

Information Technology (IT)

The Riley County Information Technology Department is responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of all county information systems and technology-related hardware and software.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) works to facilitate, enhance, support, and enable the 'decision-making processes' within the Riley County infrastructure through the use of electronic geographic-based data.

Most layers on GIS mapping are updated as changes occur [city limits, zoning, subdivisions, streets, etc.]. Ownership parcels are updated daily. If you click on “LAYER INFORMATION” in the upper right-hand corner of the interactive GIS website, all the layers are described and the dates each were updated are indicated.
