Community Corrections is a unique agency shared by the state and local government designed to improve public safety. While we are County employees, 100% of our funding comes directly from the State of Kansas, which makes us unique in many ways from other County-funded departments.
Riley County Community Corrections provides a cost-effective means of promoting public safety through balancing offender accountability, supervision, and improving offenders' ability to live productively and lawfully in their community. The agency supervises adult and juvenile felony offenders placed on intensive supervision by the District Courts.
Adult Services - Provides supervision to moderate to high-risk adult felony offenders in Riley and Clay Counties.
Juvenile Intake and Assessment - Conducts intake and assessments on juvenile offenders and children-in-need-of-care who are brought into custody by law enforcement.
