Vaccine Preventable Diseases

Vaccine-Preventable Diseases are a group of diseases caused by bacteria or viruses that are stopped through vaccination. The Riley County Health Department offers vaccines for adults, child, and select travel vaccines. To book an appointment to receive a vaccination, visit the clinic page

As a part of RCHD's epidemiological services, investigations of vaccine-preventable disease data are tracked and analyzed. The most commonly investigated diseases in the vaccine-preventable disease category are mumps and pertussis (whooping cough). This graph shows the percent of total investigations, by year, that fall into the vaccine-preventable disease category.
