ARE YOU SCHEDULED TO APPEAR FOR A HEARING AT THE RILEY COUNTY COURTHOUSE?
ARE YOU WANTING TO APPEAR BY VIDEO CONFERENCE INSTEAD?
To appear by video conference using ZOOM, you will need to have an electronic device with an internet connection. You may use a smart phone, iPad/tablet, or webcam/built-in camera with sound and video.
If appearing by video using a smart phone, you will also need to install the free ZOOM Cloud Meetings App before the conference begins. (No ZOOM Account is required)
If it is determined that your hearing can be conducted remotely by video conference, you will be given instructions on how to participate by ZOOM.
If you are interested in appearing remotely, you must contact District Court at (785) 565-6614 as soon as possible.
Helpful Hints for ZOOM remote hearings:
The meeting ID and password will either be given to you over the phone by District Court personnel or will be emailed to you and look similar to this EXAMPLE:

At least Five minutes prior to the start time of your hearing, please open the email and click on the blue link under “Join Zoom Meeting” OR use the “Join Meeting” from the ZOOM app and input the meeting ID number.
The Zoom Cloud Meetings App will open and you will need to enter the 6-number Password.
You will enter into a virtual “waiting room” and will be admitted in to the video conference by the Judge at the appropriate time. A short delay may occur if the Court has a large docket scheduled.
This is a video-conference hearing. As such, appropriate attire should be worn. Choose an appropriate background without distractions.
