Raising Riley Book Club (check schedule and topics)
Raising Riley is offering an incredible opportunity, just for parents! Join our book club with parents from all walks of life as we venture through topics on raising a reader, healthy eater, sensory development, behavior management, and so much more! We are currently taking a break from our book club. We will begin again in March. If you have questions or would like to make suggestions of books, please let us know!
Raising Riley Family Engagement Events
Brings your kids and join us for our monthly events of playing and learning!!
Each month's session is based on activities that children enjoy, focusing on helping parents understand what's being learned during all the fun! Each family receives an activity kit to take home so the play and learning can continue. Child development and reading readiness information are also available for parents.
Movie Night (coming this summer!)
Who doesn't love a good moving night with the family? Get your blankets, lawn chairs, favorite hoodies, and get comfy on the lawn. Come enjoy the beautiful summer weather at our fun movie night event!
All classes must be registered for prior to the event.
Register by contacting Kirsten at 785-776-4779 ext.7634 or [email protected]
Monthly StoryWalk®
Stop by the Riley County Health Department Campus, take a walk along the trail and enjoy reading a book with your children! Once you have completed the StoryWalk® trail, come into our office to receive a FREE book! You can also post a picture to social media and tag us using #rrstorywalk. Or you can always email us (contact info is on the last StoryWalk® board).
The StoryWalk® was created with grant funding from the USD 383 K-LINK grant and an Eagle Scout project by Gavin Starling with Troop #284. A new book is put up every month. Check out what you'll be reading in the monthly Raising Riley newsletter.
