This special meeting was called to discuss the letter from the Board of County Commissioners regarding assuming public control of the solid waste collection system and decide the next step in the process.  After a number of questions and answers and discussion regarding options and exact request contained in the letter, Bob Newsome and Jim Williams were asked to clarify the intent of the letter.  The Commissioners clarified that assuming public control of the collection system was only one option among many to address the solution to the loss of revenue at the transfer station.  Roger Kvasnicka then moved and Judy Willingham seconded to discuss the matter again at the next SWMC meeting on October 14 and invite all of the haulers in the area to participate.  Motion carried.  The meeting adjourned.
