4-11 update

(RILEY COUNTY, KS – April 11, 2020) The number of positive cases in Riley County is holding steady at 20, with no new cases to report for the past two days. The number of recovered cases and negative tests has increased, however. Riley County’s score according to the unacast website, is a B today, which is down from the A the county received a few days ago.  

Statewide, Kansas saw a sharp increase of 102 new positive cases reported today. Both Thursday and Friday saw increases of 60 positives in the state.

“Social distancing is designed to slow the spread, and the success of those efforts will take time to become evident,” said Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Andrew Adams. “We’ve seen two days with no new cases in Riley County and we hope the trend continues. The local results are promising, and we need everyone to keep up the good work.”

Riley County Statistics for Friday, April 11, 2020:

  • Total positive cases in Riley County Residents: 20
    • *Total Recovered: 7
    • Total Hospitalized: 0
  • Pending test results: 12
  • Negative test results: 137
