(RILEY COUNTY, KS – April 18, 2020) There have been no new positives in Riley County today, but officials did receive news of 12 negative tests, bringing that total number of negatives to 200. The total number of positives remains at 27, with 15 active cases and 12 recovered.

Positive cases in Kansas reached 1,790 today with 383 hospitalizations and 86 deaths. More details are available on the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) website at https://www.coronavirus.kdheks.gov/160/COVID-19-in-Kansas.

If you have symptoms of coronavirus, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please call the Riley County Health Department’s Screening Hotline at 785-323-6400 to talk with a medical professional. The hotline is staffed every day from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

*Note: Following CDC guidelines, patients are to remain in isolation through the duration of illness and are considered to be recovered after the following criteria have been met:

• At least three days (72 hours) since resolution of fever, without the use of fever-reducing medications and  Improvement of respiratory symptoms
