(RILEY COUNTY, KS – November 24, 2021) Riley County has identified 54 new positive Coronavirus cases and 98 additional recoveries since the last report on November 18, 2021.
In Riley County, since December, there have been a total of 265 positive cases from variants of concern.
Seven COVID-positive patients are currently under care at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. Four patients, one of whom is fully vaccinated, are on the medical floor. Three unvaccinated patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Vaccine Operations:
Riley County Health Department itself is currently providing third doses (boosters) of the COVID-19 vaccine. Beginning November 17, all fully vaccinated Kansans over the age of 18 are now eligible for booster shots if they have met the 6-month time period following Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or the 2-month time period following the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and based on the patient’s risk exposure self-assessment.
A Moderna booster shot clinic will be held at the Riley County Family and Child Resource Center (2101 Claflin Road, Manhattan) on Thursday, December 2 from 2pm - 6pm. Individuals MUST schedule an appointment. To schedule an appointment visit: https://rileyco-1202.rsvpify.com/
Testing
Rapid and saliva testing is available for free. Testing is offered:
Monday through Friday KDHE will be at the Manhattan Town Center parking lot on the north side from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm offering ONLY PCR testing. Please note the site will be closed on Thursday, November 25th.
