(RILEY COUNTY, KANSAS – February 10, 2022) Riley County is pleased to announce updates to the county website at www.RileyCountyKS.gov that will make services and information easier to access. The Board of County Commissioners approved the updates in December 2021 and CivicPlus has been working behind the scenes to make changes to the look and layout of the site.
With the new website layout, Riley County will be able to increase its community engagement and enhance the communication between residents and the local government. Residents will be able to locate important information through some of the featured modules, including:
- News Flash allows people to check for recent updates or subscribe to receive emails when the county posts announcements
- Online appointment booking helps save time for Treasurer’s Office services such as driver’s license renewals, motor vehicle titles, and vehicle registrations
- Bolder colors and an improved layout makes information easier to read
“Investing time and effort to make government services easy to access means residents don’t have to waste time searching or standing in line,” said Public Information Officer Vivienne Uccello. “We will continue working to streamline content so we can make the site as user-friendly as possible.”
There were no additional costs for the update, as periodic changes to the site are programmed into the existing contract for services with local website company, CivicPlus.
