(RILEY COUNTY, KS – April 13, 2022) Riley County identified 15 new COVID-19 cases and 8 additional recoveries in Week 14 (April 3-9). There are currently 18 known active COVID-19 cases in the county. 

No (0) COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalized at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.

  • Active cases: 18
  • Positive patients at Via Christi Hospital: 0
  • New recoveries: 8
  • Recent deaths: 0
  • Total positive cases: 13,471
  • Total recoveries: 13,373
  • Total deaths: 80

Incidence Per 100,000 People

  • Week 13 (March 27 - April 2): 12.12
  • Week 14 (April 3 - 9): 20.2

COVID-19 Tests

Free COVID-19 tests (both rapid and PCR tests) are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 3019 Anderson Avenue. No appointment is necessary and testing will be offered through the month of April. This is the facility formerly operated by KDHE.

Vaccines

Free COVID-19 vaccines will continue to be available at the Riley County Health Department at 2030 Tecumseh Road with or without an appointment. Vaccines will be offered during regular clinic hours (Monday - Wednesday 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Thursday noon – 6 p.m., and Friday 8:30 - 11 a.m.). Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged to reduce wait times. Call (785) 565-6560 to schedule a vaccine appointment.
