(RILEY COUNTY, KS – August 3, 2022) The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) recorded 112 new COVID-19 cases for Riley County between July 23 - 29. The Incidence Rate is 151 and Riley County remains in the HIGH incidence category with 100 or more cases per 100,000 people.

Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan is caring for seven COVID-19 positive patients at this time. Two of those patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

“If you’re not feeling well or have any reason to suspect you have COVID you should stay home, take a COVID test, and seek medical care if you have severe symptoms. At-home tests are widely available and it’s a good idea to keep some on hand,” said Local Health Officer and Health Department Director Julie Gibbs.

Follow health guidelines and get vaccinated to protect yourself, your loved ones, and our most vulnerable.”
