The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued an Extreme Fire Danger Warning for Friday, October 14 in effect from noon to 7:00 PM. Extreme fire danger means that fires start quickly, spread furiously, and burn intensely.
NO OUTDOOR BURNING IS ALLOWED IN RILEY COUNTY AT THIS TIME.
Westerly winds of 15-25 mph with wind gusts up to 35 mph are expected along with low relative humidity of 18 percent. Warm temperatures in the upper 70s are also expected.
