The Riley County Board of County Commissioners is seeking well-qualified construction firms to provide pre-construction services and construction of a new Public Safety Headquarters Facility.
The proposed project will include new construction of a Public Safety Headquarters on a site owned by the County. The site is south of the existing Family and Child Resource Center, on the west side of Charles Little Road in Manhattan, Kansas. The site includes existing parking that will be reconfigured to make way for the new building. The new building will include: an EMS station with ambulance bays and crew living quarters, administrative offices for Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management and Fire District #1 Offices, Training Rooms, Emergency Operations Center, 911 Dispatch Facilities, and other related support spaces.
The project will construct a new, multi-story building approximately 17,500 square feet. Sitework will encompass approximately three acres and include paving demolition, new paved parking lot(s), grading, retaining wall(s), and utility connections typical for a project of this size.
Archimages, Inc., of Lenexa, Kansas has been engaged by the County to provide architectural and engineering (A/E) services. Archimages, Inc. has begin the early phases of design for the project.
