Today is a test of the outdoor warning sirens in Riley County. We usually test the system on the first Monday of the month, but only if the skies are clear and only if is it not a holiday. Please tell your neighbors and help spread the word that today’s siren is only a test.
Remember, outdoor warning sirens are there to warn people OUTDOORS of imminent danger. The sirens are not designed as a consistent warning system for people inside structures. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive alerts!
