To vote by mail you must complete an Application for an Advance Voting Ballot and mail or fax it to the Election Office at (785) 537-6394. A separate application must be submitted for each election. If you are physically unable to vote in person you can complete an Application for Permanent Advance Voting Status this form is completed only once and good for every election you are eligible to vote in.
Your completed application must be received at the Election Office before 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the election. Submit your application early to avoid delays!
Ballots will be mailed beginning 20 days before the election. Your completed ballot may be returned by mail or hand delivered to the Election Office. Completed ballots may not be faxed. The ballot must be received at the Election Office before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
