The Riley County Historical Museum is proud to be a part of the new temporary exhibit “Forces: The Shaping of Manhattan, Fort Riley and Kansas State University” which opens at the Flint Hills Discovery Center September 7, 2012 and will run through January 13, 2012. This Kansas Humanities Council funded exhibit explores some of the ideas, events and issues that influenced these three places: a town, a military post and a college, from each of their beginnings about 150 years ago to the advent of World War I.
