Flu season is nearing once again and Riley County Health Department is preparing to provide flu vaccine to thousands of Riley County residents.

On Thursday, October 9th from 3:00 – 7:00pm at Blue Earth Plaza in Manhattan, the Riley County Health Department will be having their third annual event, Okt-FLU-ber Festival. Flu shots and the Tdap vaccination will be given. The first 200 children will receive a pumpkin and a book with their flu shot. In addition to the vaccines, there will be kids’ games, face painting, emergency display vehicles, Fred the Preparedness dog, music and lots of fun!
