March 23 - 27 is National Work Zone Awareness Week, a campaign to educate the public of the need for safety in work zones. It brings to light the hazards and dangers of driving through highway work zones and how to avoid them. Numerous buildings and bridges across Kansas will be orange for the week and and "Go Orange Day" in Kansas will be Thursday, March 26, where everyone is encouraged to wear orange.
Check out this flyer and keep up with the Riley County Facebook page for more information and tips/facts related to this week!
