The Riley County Historical Society will be hosting their quarterly dinner meeting Wednesday, May 6 , 2015 at the Blue Hills Room, 2317 Tuttle Creek Blvd in Manhattan. Dinner includes beef brisket, mashed potatoes, green beans, house salad, rolls and brownies. Reservations for the dinner must be made by Thursday, April 30. Cost is $14.00.
The program is Railroad Empire across the Heartland: Rephotographing Alexander Gardner's Westward Journey by Jim Sherow, Professor of History at Kansas State University. No reservation is required for the program.
Dinner starts at 6:30 pm and program will begin about 7:15 pm.
