District of Kansas is hosting the 2016 Human Trafficking Conference in Manhattan, Kansas on July 12-13, 2016. Co-host is Barry Wilkerson, Riley County Attorney, along with co-sponsors from the Kansas Attorney General's Office and the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center. This is a great training opportunity with national and local presenters.
Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch said, "Human traffickers prey on some of the most vulnerable members of our society and their crimes...which are nothing short of modern-day slavery...have no place in this country."
