Thursday, July 28, 2016 the Riley County Historical Society will holds its quarterly dinner meeting at the lower level of the Family and Child Resource Center, 2101 Claflin Road, Manhattan. Kansas State Professor Emeritus Barbara Gatewood will speak on "The Star Spangled Banner: History, Analysis and Preservation" about her work on the American flag that inspired our National Anthem.
Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and reservations must be made by Monday, July 25th by calling 785-565-6490. The cost for dinner is $12.00. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. and no reservation is needed. Everyone is invited and welcome to attend.
