The annual Riley County Livestock Association Summer Tour will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016, starting at 5:00 p.m. Due to construction at Cross Country Genetics, their presentation will be made at the Cottonwood Shelter, near the Corps of Engineers office instead of at the Cross Country Genetics facility north of Manhattan.
Cross Country Genetics provides beef cattle embryo transfer services. Seventy-five percent of their work is done on-farm, so they will set up a display and mobile lab to show how they would do on-farm ET work.
A free supper provided by the Riley County Livestock Association will be served following the presentation by Cross Country Genetics. Supper will be at the Cottonwood Shelter, located at 5020 Tuttle Creek Boulevard, just across from the Corps of Engineers Office in Manhattan. Food and table service are provided.
Reservations to attend the RCLA Summer Tour are needed by Wednesday, August 24th. Register online to attend at www.riley.ksu.edu or call the Riley County Extension Office at 785-537-6350.
