The Beach Museum of Art exhibit "Civil War Era Drawings from the Becker Collection" features drawings by Joseph Becker and his colleagues, nineteenth-century artists who worked as artist-reporters for Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper observing, drawing and submitting for publication images of the Civil War. The exhibit also features Civil War era objects from the Ft. Riley Museums. The Riley County Historical Museum is working with the Beach Museum of Art to offer school tours of the Beach exhibit, Goodnow House (built in 1861) and local Civil War history at the Riley County Historical Museum.
