[ARCHIVED] ATA Bus Manhattan Route Changes Summer 2019

Improvements to aTa Bus routes coming July 29th and fare FREE July 29th-August 10th.

The Flint Hills Area Transportation Agency (aTa Bus) has made improvements to the fixed routes in Manhattan and Ogden. Starting July 29, 2019, changes to the route system will include:

  • Addition of stops to allow for better to & from access to major destinations
  • Removal of a few stops
  • Revised times at all bus stop locations
  • Improved transfer timing for shorter layovers
  • In several locations, the bus route currently serving a stop will change to a different route. For example, the Candlewood stops are currently on the Orange Route. As of July 29th, the Candlewood stops will be serviced by Route 1 (red).  In most cases, you will now make fewer transfers and will be spending less time on the bus.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the route changes prior to July 29th by viewing the route changes on the aTa Bus website: www.rileycountyks.gov/summer-2019 or by picking up a new route brochure at any location that sells bus passes. New route information will become available on Google Transit on July 29th to help you plan your trip.

We understand the confusion and frustration that is caused when making changes. For your convenience, and as a thank you for your patience, all routes in Manhattan or Ogden will be fare free between July 29th and August 10th. This includes fixed routes, the K-18 Connector, and demand response services.

If you have any questions about the changes or would like help planning your trip, you can all aTa Bus at 785-537-6345. You may also submit questions to aTa Bus via Facebook (Flint Hills ATA Bus) or Twitter (@FlintHillsATA).
