Riley County to file Notice of Potential Noise Impacts
Riley County, Kansas, in cooperation with the cities of Manhattan, Ogden and Riley, will be filing a Notice of Potential Noise Impacts (NOPNI) with the Riley County Register of Deeds. The filing will occur sometime in the first quarter of 2020. The purpose of the NOPNI is to inform buyers of property within a certain proximity of Fort Riley, Kansas, that the property may be in a noise zone and therefore subject to noise impacts from activities on the Fort. The NOPNI also recommends consideration of noise attenuation building methods determined to be appropriate for the region by consulting engineers.
