1. Will my car tags be automatically renewed if I use the Motor Vehicle Escrow program?

No. You will have to come into the office or renew your tags by mail. If renewing by mail, call our office to get the balance in your escrow account. You are responsible for the difference if there is a shortage.

2. Can I change the amount that I am paying each month?

Yes. You can send in any amount you want. If you are using the bank draft option, contact our office prior to the 10th of the month to change your payment.

3. What types of transactions can I pay with the money in my account?

You can use your escrow account to pay for any type of motor vehicle transaction. This does not include drivers license renewals.

4. Is there a cost for participating in the program?

No. There is no cost to participate in the motor vehicle escrow program.

5. Can I stop the program at any time?

Yes. You can stop making payments into your account at any time. If you request a refund of your account you may not get back into the program for a year.
